Design Fees
Consultation Fees
Free of charge within a twenty mile radius of Chichester, West Sussex. A fee for projects outside of this twenty mile radius will be charged subject to location. The fee will become payable at the end of the consultation but is refundable upon final invoice when we are commissioned to carry out the design.
Surveys
Invoices for surveys carried out by Ian Humby Surveys become payable once the survey is received by the client.
Surveys carried out by Living Landscapes will be included on our invoice.
Design Process
This is based on a per hour charge which will include all travelling expenses. Design fees start from £350 for small courtyard gardens, however a fixed quotation will be supplied in writing following the consultation.
- 50% of the design will be payable on acceptance of the quote
- The balance will become due on production of the remaining plans
- Staged payments may be required on high value designs
The quotation does not include:-
- Printing costs
- Specialist reports, such as tree reports
- Planning applications
- Engineers’ reports
These will be billed at cost as the amounts will vary.
Variations will be charged at £25 per hour, or part thereof, as the nature and complexity cannot be determined prior.
Axonometric and Perspective Drawings
A fixed quotation will be given, as above, and will become payable on presentation.
Clients Abroad (Worldwide)
- All accommodation, travelling and meal expenses are to be paid by the client.
- Rail or air fares are based on economy travel.
- Travel expenses include transfers to and from the port of arrival / departure and any parking fees.
- Meals include breakfast and evening meals.
Tender Documents
A fee of £150 is charged for the production of the tender document. Copies of the plans will be charged at cost as the amount of plans will vary.
Contract Management
Fees for Contract Management are 15% of the first £12,000 of the contract value and 10% of the contract value thereafter.
These fees are in line with the contractor’s payment schedule.
All fees are subject VAT at the current rate.
