Contract management

If we cannot construct your garden due to time constraints or distance we can offer you a contract management scheme.

We will produce a detailed tender document of approx. 50 pages and submit this along with copies of all plans to three reputable landscape contractors. A copy will also be supplied to the client.

A fee of £385.00 + VAT is charged for the production of the tender document Copies of the plans will be charged at cost as the amount of plans could vary.

All landscape contractors on my list and any wishing to be considered for inclusion will undergo a strict vetting procedure by myself and this will include some of the following:-

• Site visits of completed and ongoing projects
• Insurances
• Compliance of Health and Safety Procedures, including CDM Regulations.
• Training
• All contractors will be required to be BALI Members.

Once all completed tenders have been returned by the deadline date, we will talk through them with the client answering any questions that arise. We will then leave the client to choose the contractor they wish to use. The contract is solely between the client and the contractor.

For a fee we will manage the project for the client and ensure the following:-

• The setting out is precise and correct prior to construction taking place.
• Construction methods are carried out to the correct standards.
• Materials are to the specification and of high quality.
• Tree works are carried out to BS 3998.
• Compliance with all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.
• Carry out regular site meetings with the site supervisor/contractor and client.
• Source plants and check off on delivery.
• Set out plants if required.
• Time scales are being kept and preparation of progress reports.

Our fees for contract management are:-

16% of the first £12,000 of the contract value and 10% of the contract value remaining

All fees are subject VAT at the current rate.
